More National Park Color

I enjoyed a mid morning walk along the closed tour road at Saratoga National Historical Park yesterday in an area of the park south of the trails I usually visit. If you park at the south lot on Route 32 you can walk in to tour stops 2, the Neilson House, and 3, the American river fortifications.

Better Late than Never

I've commented that the fall foliage this year was disappointing as the leaves on usually colorful trees browned and dropped off early due to drought conditions. Now, however, the trees that turn later are as colorful as ever.

Back From Maine

Everything slows down after returning from a trip to Maine. Primarily, the number of photos I make and the number of steps I take. Five days at home is like one day on the coast.

The Real Final Sunrise

I was expecting clouds and maybe rain this morning so I didn't head out anywhere for the sunrise. I did, however, check the conditions from the room. There was about fifteen minutes of color right before scheduled sunrise before the clouds closed back in. The sun never did appear.
