Mohawk River and Old Canal

Once again I'm doing the back to inexpensive STM prime lenses instead of heavier L zoom lenses transition. I think this is the third time I've made the transition back and forth.

So instead of the RF 14-35mm f/4L and 24-105mm f/4L zoom lenses I'll have RF 16mm f/2.8, 28mm f/2.8, 50mm f/1.8 and 85mm f/2 IS STM lenses. I managed to talk myself out of trading in the EOS R8 so I will still have both bodies which works out well as I can use the three wider lenses that don't have IS with the R6 and the 85mm lens that has IS with the IBISless R8.

I don't have the 85mm lens yet (this will be my fifth time owning the lens) so I carried just the R6 and the three aforementioned lenses. I was intending to walk around Vischer Ferry Nature Preserve after picking up the 16mm and 50mm lenses at Best Buy but the road that gets to the preserve over the Northway is closed. Instead, I parked at a Canalway Watertrail kayak launch on the Mohawk River and walked west, under the Northway, in to the preserve and back.
