I went out this morning with my newest acquisition, a used
EF 24-70mm f-2.8L USM lens I picked up to go with the full frame 5D body. I'm selling my 17-40 lens since I'll rarely want anything wider than 24mm on the full frame body and the quality of the new lens is superior.
It's an amazing lens. It's nice a single lens will do wide scenics and then close focus at 70mm to give some respectable close-ups.
Here's two examples from earlier today.
