Saw this unusual looking bird yesterday out by the feeder.
Evidently, someone is missing a pet parakeet.

First Blossoms of Spring
In this area, the first blossoms I see each Spring are always those of Blue-eyed Grass

(Sisyrinchium angustifolium).
This photo was taken on April 12th with a 100mm macro lens on a tripod with remote release.
You can find out more aout this wildflower here.

Playing with My iPhone
Went for a walk this morning over to the canal in Waterford and brought my iPhone. It's a fun little camera to play with. I did some post processing in Aperture for the second picture and the third uses the HDR feature on Apple's iPhone Camera app.
The first picture is of the 1921 canal ship Day Peckinpaugh which is wintering at Waterford Harbor.
I created a gallery for iPhone pics on the Zenfolio site. It's located at http://trulandphoto.zenfolio.com/iphone.
