Waterford Harbor Flooding

Went out this morning and took some shots of minor flooding at the confluence of the Mohawk and Hudson Rivers in the Village of Waterford, NY.

Wild Visitor

Only about 20 feet from where the parakeet was hanging out this Scarlet Tananger showed up this afternoon.

Escapee Visitor

Saw this unusual looking bird yesterday out by the feeder.

Evidently, someone is missing a pet parakeet.

First Blossoms of Spring

In this area, the first blossoms I see each Spring are always those of Blue-eyed Grass

(Sisyrinchium angustifolium).
